Production Appraiser, New Hyde Park, NY

This position is responsible for appraising multi-family and commercial properties that typically collateralize loans of $1,000,000 to $10,000,000 in the New York metropolitan area. Appraisal work is conducted in accordance with internal policies/procedures, USPAP and FIRREA requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Appraises multi-family and commercial properties following USPAP, FIRREA and internal policies and procedures.
Estimates market value and writes timely, accurate and complete appraisal reports using designated forms and narrative formats.
Keeps abreast of current real estate market conditions and their effect on residential and commercial markets in assigned geographic areas.
Prepares complete file documentation in accordance with internal documentation guidelines to ensure clear audit trail.
Participates, in conjunction with supervisor, in the development of personal production targets, and an action plan for meeting specific objectives.

Qualifications
5+ years of commercial appraisal experience including exposure to multi-family valuation.

Review Appraiser, New Hyde Park, NY

As a commercial review appraiser, you will be responsible for valuing and reviewing a variety of property types with emphasis on multi-family apartment buildings. The geographic focus can be regional, with primary emphasis in the New York Metropolitan area. You will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing reports upon receipt for compliance with federal and state regulations including FIRREA and USPAP and reasonableness of value conclusion. You may also assist in engaging 3rd party vendors to prepare appraisal reports on real property offered as collateral in connection with various loan transaction requests. You will deal with moderate to complex assignments, diversified duties and the oversight coordination of related assignments are typical. Excellent judgment and independent decision making are required for moderately complex issues. A thorough knowledge of appraisal theory and experience utilizing the three approaches to market value of real estate are necessary to be successful in this role. Current experience in valuing and reviewing a variety of property types is required.

· Excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills
· Ability to be a highly motivated, productive team player
· High level of dependability and intelligence
